Melinda Dahl - Bio
Born: Toronto Canada 1981.
1981-1992: Mother's portraits of the 3 Dahl sisters inspire Melinda to be a photographer.
1992: Begins using SLR camera and taking photography.
1993: Attends Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts school for 6 years graduating with a degree in Dramatic Arts.
1999: Travels to Europe with twin sister Caitlin for four months, studying French in Paris and continues to pursue photography.
2000: Attends Ryerson University and OCAD for two years in Toronto.
1998: Apprentices with photographer David Leyes in Toronto in her last year of high school.
2002: Moves to LA to pursue photography and acting professionally.
2003: Joint show with Mercedes Helnwein, Ali Helnwein and Caitlin Dahl
2004: Joins Marc Bass Agency with sisters.
2004: Appears in Mandi/Randi episode of the TV show Nip/Tuck with Caitlin.
2005: Appears in feature film "the Moguls" starring Jeff Bridges, Ted Danson, Joe Pantoliano, Patrick Fugit, etc. out in theatres this fall.
August 6th 2004 : On Caitlin and Melinda's 23rd birthday, sister Lolo has her first art exhibition with Mercedes Helnwein.
December 2004: Beloved sister Lolo is killed in a tragic car accident. This show is a dedicated as a tribute to Lolo and her insistence that Melinda feature her photography in a solo show.
Present: Melinda and Caitlin live in Los Angeles and continue to pursue photography, acting and filmmaking. They are also starting a foundation for Lolo (lolodahl.com) to help support other artists.
